Todo un gurú musical como Rufus Wainwright también cayó rendido a la ciudad de Barcelona, a la que le dedicó una composición homónima en la que dice que ninguna otra “se le puede comparar”. Una composición que data de sus años adolescentes, cuando manifestó un creciente interés por la ópera. De hecho, en “Barcelona” se incluyen frases extraídas del libreto de ‘Macbeth’ de Verdi.
